FROM THE DESK OF THE PASTOR
I keep reminding myself these days that in Heaven there are only two age categories; Young and Younger! This has all been made possible through the Gift of Jesus given to us in the Eucharist. The Gospel is clear. “Whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him on the last day... whoever eats this bread will live forever.” By the way, every 8 minutes someone turns 50!

PARISH NEWS
Our Sacred Heart Altar Society has open positions and would appreciate volunteers ASAP.
If you feel so inclined and would like to become more active in your parish, please call 365-4677
Mid-Sioux suggested giving for August is baking items; flour, sugar, cake mix vanilla, etc.

The parish needs someone to be the rep for Mid-Sioux…it would be great to have a couple volunteer .It is a monthly task for the most part. The groceries collected at the entrances need to be taken on a regular basis to the Mid-Sioux office. We would like to get you on board soon, but you will be needed for sure by January …for more information concerning this job, please call Connie Pfleeger at 364.3575…thank you.

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION NEWS

There will be a couple of openings for Religious Education teachers this fall. If anyone is interested please contact Lenee at 364-3402.

Good Samaritan Society-Holstein has an after school program for children T-K through 5th grade starting August 18. The hours are 3:30-5:30 pm. If interested in this program please call 712-368-4304.
