God is Enough!

Dear Parishioners,

Although we’ve been celebrating all along the way with our very precious blessings…I am happy to announce we are at our $1 Million Celebration goal! Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your prayers and gifts.

As we now move into our challenge goal, I wanted to share with you what one of our parishioners did with his family. John Kallin’s siblings have moved throughout the United States, but all ten brothers and sisters grew up in Ida Grove and spent many hours worshiping at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. He asked each sibling and their families to consider a gift towards the campaign, even though they are no longer residents of Ida Grove. Not only did they agree; they wanted to acknowledge their parents with this gift.

I share this with you as a consideration for those who may no longer live in Ida Grove, but share great memories here with you and with Sacred Heart. We are trying to reach out to several families who have since moved away, so if you have others to consider; whether they are family or friends, and would like some information to send them, please let use know.

We hope that you continue to pray and support our efforts.

God’s blessings,

Father David Hemann
Pastor

Attention…Crafty Parishioners…that includes our men if you are so inclined. Other than special occasions when real floral arrangements are used, our altar flowers are of the artificial kind. We would like to know who in our parish would enjoy creating flowers for the altars. They might be made of yarn…they might be made from fabric. We would like to open this up and have a variety on hand in different colors, etc. and for the different seasons of the church. They could be carnations, roses, gladiolas, daisies, etc. We do request that they be made in pairs…please and thank you. Any questions, call 365.4677.
